The Story

The history of the city dates back to medieval times while the first edition of the so-called "Palio de 'Micci" was launched in 1956 by the Pro Querceta Town Committee.

There are also moments of leisure, there are high-level folklore events and large audience participation, such as the famous "Palio dei Micci" (donkeys), in which eight fierce districts take part: Cervia, Leon d'Oro, Lucertola, Madonnina, Ponte, Pozzo, Quercia, Frog.

Contrade that then challenge the various sporting events and even in a theme song competition (the "miccio" ... of course!) which is not even called to say Miccio Canterino.
